stuck.

It's twenty to midnight and somehow I'm just now finding the time...or push to write. I haven't written in a while - it seems this always happens - I have a streak where I'm with it and post before Monday comes. And then, there are a handful of weeks where I...just don't have it in me.

I struggle. I'm struggling. A lot. I'm at a point in my life where I should be happy. Where, let's be honest, I AM happy. But it still feels like I'm seconds from crashing and tumbling down all the steps I just climbed.

I've been doing...better with the eating. I find myself choosing healthier snacks and meals. I drink pop, occasionally - not nearly as much as I once did though, which I consider an accomplishment.
I should weighin, but I can't seem to find the energy or want to.

I'm in a rut. I'm stuck. That's just all there is to it.

It happens, right?

  1. Ruts do happen and sometimes finding the motivation isn't easy. It might help to try something new like a workout DVD or even a new place to go walking.

  2. First off, I love you, you are amazing! Enjoy those times you are up and you're happy because if you do tumble down then you will have those happy moments to help you rise again. Life is to short to not enjoy it.
Way to go on making healthy snack decisions and during the soda back.

  3. It absolutely happens. I'm gonna parrot megan and remind you that you are amazing and I ADORE you. Ruts happen. We stumble and fall. we make choices that we really don't like and THEN? We get to choose again and by posting, that's one step :) You CAN do this. Ask for help when you need it but don't forget how strong and capable you really are :)

  4. We all hit ruts. The important thing is that you don't stay there TOOOOO long. I hit a rut in July when we moved out of state and by March I had gained 17 pounds! WHAT?! Yeah, talk about a major freaking rut for ya! It's awesome that you're making better eating decisions, etc. Doesn't sound like you're in TOO bad of a rut -- at least you're still conscious of your lifestyle and how it is going to affect your health for the better or worse. I stopped even thinking about it. You'll be fine -- take a little time to regroup and get your head back in the game! :)
